Jerry Johnson, President

Jerry is President of Cascade Strategies. He has built a company that prides itself on innovative approaches that produce results. Stories of remarkable client success have been featured on National Public Radio's All Things Considered, KOMO TV in Seattle, numerous Puget Sound area radio talk shows, The New York Times, Advertising Age, Adweek, Direct, Puget Sound Business Journal, and Media, Inc. Jerry's experience in research and strategic planning runs deep. As Director of Strategic Planning for WestWayne in Atlanta, his research insights led to:

  • The "Get it All Together" campaign for Publix Supermarkets, which catapulted WestWayne to fame as Adweek's "1990 Agency of the Year."

  • The "Insurance School" campaign for Independent Life Insurance Company, which won a Gold Lion at the Cannes Film Festival.

  • The "Monique" campaign for the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra, which won a Gold Effie Award for advertising effectiveness from the American Marketing Association.

  • The "Lawn Lover" campaign for the Snapper Lawn Mower Company, which produced a 32% sales increase for the company, arresting a 3-year sales decline.

While at the J. Walter Thompson Agency in New York his insights produced the "Burger King Town" campaign, which was named one of the "Ten Best Campaigns of 1986" by Adweek magazine. At Hill-Holliday in Boston he conducted research that led to the "Technobabble" campaign for Wang Laboratories, a stunning marketing success that was also a winner of the Silver Lion award at Cannes.In Seattle he has produced similar insights for Hewlett-Packard, Kaiser Permanente, and Gargoyles Sunglasses -- all of which have been featured prominently in trade and business publications as outstanding examples of profitable breakthroughs for brands.

Jerry holds a B.A. in Government from Harvard University.

Juho Arens, Database Marketing Director

Juho has carried out a wide array of sophisticated database marketing projects for clients, some of them earning prominent industry awards and the attention of trade publications such as Marketing, Advertising Age, Direct, and Selling to Seniors Magazine.

He has more than 20 years of experience in conducting these types of projects for a diverse set of clients including Transamerica, Sprint, Honda, Citigroup, Bank One, The Disney Company, Kaiser Permanente, National Geographic Magazine, and many more.

Juho served as President of Transamerica Marketing Services, a Transamerica company. Prior to that we was Vice President of Planning for Doremus & Company in New York, serving major clients such as First Boston Corporation and Salomon Brothers.

He holds BA and MBA degrees from Boston University.
